Embroidery machine help?
I have recently started sewing dresses for little girls. I came across some wonderful mickey and minnie mouse fabric and ribbon designs that are very patriotic and I really want to make a dress for my little girl with it. However I would love to have the matching embroidery design for this fabric to put on the dress since the skirt is going to be the printed fabric and the blouse will simply be white. I have never used an embroidery machine before and I certainly don't have money to buy one right now. The design only costs a few dollars but I would like to know if there is anywhere I can go that shows you how to use embroidery machines and maybe let's you use their embroidery machines for projects, like perhaps Joann's or a place like that. Does anyone know if any fabric shops do this? I also thought maybe I could find someone who embroiders from home that would be willing to show me how the machines work and maybe I could pay them a little money to use their machine to embroider the design I want to the dress? Right now all the material for the dress adds up to a grand total of about $10 so I really want to spend as little money as possible. Please let me know if anyone has any ideas. Thanks!
