Would this be an appropriate gift on a first date?

I am in Europe right now, originally from North America. I (32) am meeting a woman (40) that I have known for 2 years through e-mailing eachother daily. I know she has an interest in Native American culture, I purchased a pair of hand made, embroidered women moccasins. I don't want this gift to be a strong gesture, do you think it's appropriate that I give her this gift?
